I love celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with my students! Leprechauns, rainbows, and pots of gold make for lots of fun and creative activities. These number puzzles are simple to prep and are perfect to help students work on counting and number recognition from 0-20. Students will be engaged with this fun game throughout the whole month of March!
LET’S PREP!
To prep this activity, simply print the leprechauns (cardstock is best for durability) and laminate. When you cute the leprechauns apart, make sure to cut on the dotted lines to separate the puzzle pieces:
LET’S PLAY!
To play this game, separate the leprechauns in one pile and the pots of gold with numbers on them into another pile.
Students play the game by counting the clovers on the ten frame that the leprechaun is holding, and then matching it to the correct number on the pot of gold.
Themed centers are so much fun to use in the classroom! My students also love this CVC word pot of gold game too! Click on the picture below to find my St. Patty’s Centers on TPT:
